Want to create an HSA/FSA account or need help using yours?  What is an HSA account, and how does it work? A Health Savings Account is a way to set aside money pre-tax for certain medical-related expenses. IHSA account holders use a specially-designated debit card to makes purchases at “HSA stores” on allowed items.

Interested in creating an HSA account?  You can begin by checking with your health insurance to see if they partner with an HSA financial institution or asking your bank if they offer an HSA option; as always, you can call Red Hook Mutual Aid phone support for assistance.

There are many members of the RHMA network who use mobility aids, and who benefit from having medical assistive devices in their homes. Many of these households are HSA eligible. We hope to stockpile some of these items to send out when we receive requests.

Using some of your HSA funds, if you have them, is a great way to help support our neighbors with items that are needed, that are new!
